Kedah Gerakan youth questioned safety of solar panel plant in Penang

Kedah Gerakan youth chief Tan Keng Liang had recently dared the Penang state government to come clean on the negative environmental impact of a solar panel plant in Batu Kawan, Seberang Perai Selatan.

Tan also demanded an explanation from Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng to confirm if he had taken into consideration on the above issue before approving the setting up of the plant to produce solar panels and other related components.

Tan, as Kedah Gerakan youth chief has forgotten that in his home state, Kedah, there is also a solar panel plant there established on 2007. The establishment of the solar panel plant there was then approved by the then Kedah BN state government of which Gerakan was also part of it.

During that time, we didn't see Tan come up to question the then Kedah BN state government on the above impact, nor he said anything on the danger of such plant whatsoever.

Furthermore, the Penang state government is not that too foolish to ignore such conditions that would impact the people and the state at large. Take for instance in Kedah, prior to the said solar panel plant's establishment, we are certain that such issues has also been looked into.

The other issue is, why on earth Tan being a Kedah Gerakan youth leader wanted to question things that are happening in Penang? Why not look at many issues in Kedah, his home state? Why is Tan always interfering in Penang, thus overlapping its current state youth chief Oh Tong Keong?

If Tan is so interested in Penang more than his home state, resign as Kedah Gerakan youth chief and move over to Penang, contest against Tong Keong for the Penang youth chief post, only then you will fit to speak "for" Penang.
